In my bucket list, there are different things I want to do/ I wish to do. I love to travel. I love sun, I love beach and the beautiful summer breeze. That is why there are so many beautiful beaches which I want to visit someday. In my current list, I want to go to Sydney, Australia and visit Bondi Beach.
I am planning to visit Bondi Beach in April, 2018.
This is why I want to visit BONDI BEACH 🌊:
Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most celebrated beaches and well-known worldwide. WHERE? It is located 7 kilometres east of the Sydney CBD. Each year tens of thousands of people, from backpackers to billionaires visit this beautiful beach. Here one can walk, jog or just enjoy the sun. Being only 10 kilometers away from the city centre, it is one of the busiest beaches in Sydney.
THE NAME: 'Bondi' or 'Boondi' is an Aboriginal word meaning water breaking over rocks or noise of water breaking over rocks. The Australian Museum records that Bondi means 'place where a flight of nullas took place'.
EVENTS: many local and international events from the annual City to Surf fun run to the Festival of the Winds kite flying festival throughout the year. It is backed by attractive parkland, where you can relax, play games or take a walk. It is also a popular place amongst rollerbladers, scuba divers, skaters and cyclists. There is a fantastic promenade backing the beach, which continues along the coast, around the headland. It is also fun in winter, with an ice-skating rink built as part of the Bondi Winter Magic Festival. If one is fond of watching fireworks, It’s a special place to be on New Year's Eve. Thousands of people gather here to watch an extravagant fireworks on a New Year’s Eve every year.
LIFESTYLE: On the main street along the beachfront is Campbell Parade, which is full of stylish surf and fashion shops along with beautiful cafes and bars. You can also find cool fashion and designer shops as well as many art galleries in the neighboring streets Hall Street and Curlewis Street. Every Sunday a flea market is hosted by the Bondi Beach on the grounds of local public school where you can buy locally produced jewellery, handicrafts, vintage clothing etc.
Sydney is a beautiful city which has almost all year round good sunny weather.☀️GOOD TO KNOW: The best time to visit Sydney/ Bondi Beach could be around the months of March-April and October-November. These are the perfect time to enjoy the Sydney’s beach-side lifestyle.
Bondi, I will come and feel your breeze sooooooooooooooooooon. :)
